Lolo&Wren - Melbourne.

/ Thursday, 19 June 2014 /
While in Melbourne we definitely visited some places to eat unfortunately I only took photos at one cafe Lolo&Wren, located in Brunswick West, Melbourne, Australia.
Grilled Barrel Aged Halloumi $16.50
Panko Prawn Cocktail Sliders $12
Crispy Croque Monsieur $16.50

It was a great place to go! The food was really good. My favourite being the panko prawn sliders sooooooooooooo good! I could eat a hundred of those little sliders! The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, it isn't near the main city though and it is kinda in the middle of nowhere (it's down a street with nothing else on it just houses pretty much) so if you don't know your way around Melbourne I'd definitely taxi it there and then head out to Brunswick and check out the stores there. We ended up getting a taxi to Fitzroy and missed Brunswick altogether :(

Richard and I left for Melbourne on Friday, leaving our 11 week baby behind in Sydney for 4 days. I won't lie I thought it would be easy but I missed him.
So. Badly.
I realised his smile, touch and smell was so much more amazing than any natural or man made landmark. I'd still like to travel but next time the baby is coming along!
We ended up staying at Tune Hotel in Carlton just a 20 minute walk to the city or a 10 minute taxi ride (seriously there's no traffic in Melbourne?!) I loved the Tune Hotel though the rooms were small it was a basic room with good decor that suited our needs cause we didn't want to spend all our time in the room. The rooms are all air conditioned, have small windows, a television, and a bathroom with a toilet and a big shower (though you can hear everything from it wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't comfortable with doing you know what in front of there significant other)

We visited Hosier Lane (a popular graffiti lane in Melbourne)

We took a tour with Melbourne Coastal Touring group along the Great Ocean Road all the way to the Twelve Apostles (super long drive!)

We saw a Koala up close and personal! It was just casually hanging out on the road holding up traffic.  Everybody followed it up into the tree.

We visited a rainforest (only photo I took)

And last but not least The Twelve Apostles! So beautiful!

Happy 3 years Richard! I love you.

Vivid 2014

/ Saturday, 7 June 2014 /
Sydney has an annual Vivid Festival in the city featuring different light displays on landmarks etc. The boyfriend got me a gift voucher for mothers day to attend a photography Vivid night work shop by Sydney Photo Tours which included a four hour tour of the harbour and help with taking some photo's. It was great I learnt some more things about my camera that I didn't know before (although my feet kill from all the walking now) and I got to spend a night out!

I really like this years displays. Hopefully in the years to come they'll make Vivid a lot more bigger, with more displays going on. xx
