Julian being Julian.
Four Months
It's been four months since Julian entered this world. Four sleepless, manic, wonderful, stressful, fearful, happy months. He's teething, yes teething let the fun begin! He's sleeping through the night more which is great (now I just need to start sleeping through the night and we'd be on our way to pure bliss!) He likes to kick his legs up high, roll to his side and grab his feet and pretty much grab everything. His hand co-ordination is getting better (hopefully soon he can hold his own bottle fingers crossed) His hair has grown back, I'm going to let it grow long and see where it goes ha. He still has blue eyes, dark greyish blue eyes. Such pretty eyes, eyes I never thought a child of mine would have ( I have dark brown eyes and Richard has hazelish eyes) He has the best. smile. ever. He drives me crazy and sometimes I just want some peace and quiet, just some time to myself! But then those times are just small times compared to how much I couldn't ever live without him. Ever. He's a big boy only four months old but in the body of a 9 month old (from the mouth of his paediatrician!) His tall and weighs 8 kilos (all normal cause of his height) I think I'm very lucky. No I am very lucky. I have a wonderful little boy. A boy who has placed so much happiness and fear into my life. Happiness at having him, watching him grow and change. Sometimes I have to stop myself from everyday life so I can actually look at him, take him in. Not just with my eyes, but with my heart, my ears, my everything. With happiness comes fear, because when you have something so wonderful when everything is going a - okay, then thats when something bad usually happens. I'm scared of the bad. I know this is life and bad things happen in life (not all extreme, I mean like falls and bumps etc just little things) I'm just not ready for them to happen to him yet. I'm so thankful ... to who I don't know. To Richard who pisses me off sometimes (you know generic things "take out the rubbish!" etc we've all been there!) but then who I always, always love. His such a good father. I'm lucky I know. I don't know what I'm trying to say here other than happy four months Julian.
I love you.

Look twice
With digital photography I can only imagine how many photographs there are out in the world. With that I realise that it's really easy to skip over some photographs because at the time they didn't appeal to you. You should always look back and reflect on what photographs you've taken, you'll end up finding some diamonds in the rough.
My life lately ...
I realised that I've had this blog for more than a year now .. I'm shocked I started it on a whim on my birthday last year. Fast forward a year and I have a baby (wtf right!) still with Richard <3, moved out of our first apartment into my dad's house then out again into a new apartment. In that year I've travelled to Tasmania and Melbourne and Port Stephens only (I was pregnant so I wasn't going anywhere!) I've also decided to pursue my passion in photography Patricia Gabriela Photography. It just kinda happened out of nowhere. Taking photo's is the only thing I've truly been interested in. I love that there are so many people out there who take photographs in their own way. I love that photographs capture a place, a person, a memory. I've been lucky to have a few people let me into their lives and capture some photographs for them. I truly loved every minute of it.

Lolo&Wren - Melbourne.
While in Melbourne we definitely visited some places to eat unfortunately I only took photos at one cafe Lolo&Wren, located in Brunswick West, Melbourne, Australia.

Grilled Barrel Aged Halloumi $16.50
Panko Prawn Cocktail Sliders $12
Crispy Croque Monsieur $16.50

It was a great place to go! The food was really good. My favourite being the panko prawn sliders sooooooooooooo good! I could eat a hundred of those little sliders! The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, it isn't near the main city though and it is kinda in the middle of nowhere (it's down a street with nothing else on it just houses pretty much) so if you don't know your way around Melbourne I'd definitely taxi it there and then head out to Brunswick and check out the stores there. We ended up getting a taxi to Fitzroy and missed Brunswick altogether :(

Richard and I left for Melbourne on Friday, leaving our 11 week baby behind in Sydney for 4 days. I won't lie I thought it would be easy but I missed him.
So. Badly.
So. Badly.
I realised his smile, touch and smell was so much more amazing than any natural or man made landmark. I'd still like to travel but next time the baby is coming along!
We ended up staying at Tune Hotel in Carlton just a 20 minute walk to the city or a 10 minute taxi ride (seriously there's no traffic in Melbourne?!) I loved the Tune Hotel though the rooms were small it was a basic room with good decor that suited our needs cause we didn't want to spend all our time in the room. The rooms are all air conditioned, have small windows, a television, and a bathroom with a toilet and a big shower (though you can hear everything from it wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't comfortable with doing you know what in front of there significant other)
We visited Hosier Lane (a popular graffiti lane in Melbourne)

We took a tour with Melbourne Coastal Touring group along the Great Ocean Road all the way to the Twelve Apostles (super long drive!)

We saw a Koala up close and personal! It was just casually hanging out on the road holding up traffic. Everybody followed it up into the tree.
We visited a rainforest (only photo I took)
And last but not least The Twelve Apostles! So beautiful!
Happy 3 years Richard! I love you.
