Babymoon.

/ Thursday, 13 February 2014 /
Just spent 3 days in Port Stephens in N.S.W. Just a little getaway for me and the boyfriend unfortunately when you're 7 and half months pregnant 1. you can't do anything because your bf doesn't want anything to happen to you or the baby 2. you're so bloody hot and tired all the time! I really like going away and doing things but this time I spent all my time on the bed with the air con on full blast (absolutely best part!) I even had a cry when some waves from the beach hit me because I got scared that I had put the baby in danger lol that's how emotional I am right now. But we did get to see a lovely sunset and actually got some time to talk to one another about things other than baby or things we needed to get done before the baby come.

DIY Dyed Disposable Wooden Cutlery

/ Monday, 27 January 2014 /

I did it! I really wanted to do some do it yourself projects but when your 7 month pregnant its hard to find the energy and enthusiasm to get anything done! But today I managed to get a huge list of things to do done for the baby shower. First up on that list was this How To: Dip Dye Wooden Cutlery. I loved this post and thought it was so much funner than buying ordinary plastic cutlery. It was super easy to do also.

All you need is

  • food dye (blue, green, red and yellow)
  • water
  • medium sized bowls (that won't stain)
  • wooden disposable cutlery
  • gloves (food dye stains everything and anything!!)

At first I was being pretty dumb and doing the cutlery individually until I realised that I could just dump the lot into the the separate coloured filled bowls and let the wooden cutlery absorb the dyed water. The more water you place into the bowl the more surface area the cutlery will absorb. Altogether I'd say it took about 15 minutes to get 100 each of the wooden cutlery forks, knives and spoons done. But if your pregnant just a bit of advice do not sit on the floor crossed leg or sit on the floor in any position at all at 7 months because getting up is hell.

I absolutely love the end result!
