Disney on Ice - Princesses & Heroes
Spent the day taking care of the niece and nephew, learned how it would be to be a parent for a day. What I learnt, its effing hard! My back is pretty much gone, parents must have arms of steel to be able to constantly pick up there children all day!
We started the day at Disney on Ice - Princesses & Heroes edition, it included The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Princess & the Frog, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella (a lot of the stories were shortened to include one song to sum up the films story)
We then headed out to Wetherill Park's McDonalds. They have a big playground there, a great place to take kids to. I was pretty much spent by this time, so I let the boyfriend run around inside the playground with the niece and nephew. There was heaps of fun to be had but also some tantrums (which I'm slowly getting better at dealing with and when I say slowly I mean snail pace)
I definitely understand the idea of having children early on in life more clearly now. You spend a lot of the day running around, picking them up, compromising and changing diapers. Kids are always on the go so you have to be on the go with them. The older you get the less energy you have to be there for them 100% the way they would like it. But at the same time there's definitely a need for a level of maturity. I always believe kids should not be having kids. But then again each to their own!
